Peachy~Girl Posted January 26, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Hello Im a 2nd time cruisers just got back from our 1st cruise last month. It was just me and my SO, now we want to book a cruise with our children. We have 4 children ages 15, 12, 10, 6. I tried going through the booking motions on carnival and it will only book 5 ppl, so my question is do i need to call carnival in order to book for 6. Im guessing we will need 2 rooms:D so is my 15 yr old son old enough to have a room in his name? Thanks, we cant wait to cruise again:p
gazingm42 Posted January 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2008 You need to be 21 to have a room. What you will need to do is book one room with yourself and 2 child and another with your husband with 2 kids. You can get joining rooms if you can. But I think you only get double with joining rooms. I looked on the spirit and did not see triple or quads with joining doors. Must be due to the bunks. But I know folks with 15 year olds which will get 2 rooms with the parents each in one room. But at night the kids are in the one room and parents in the other. sparkscruiser Posted January 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2008 You will need to call Carnival............. but you must list yourself in one cabin and your SO in the other. They will not book an underage person in a cabin.
sparkscruiser Posted January 26, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2008 On a Spirit class you can get ajoining rooms where one is a balcony and the other an inside. It's and 8B and a 4C with the door between them on the Upper deck. Cabins 5108 and 5106 and likewise on the other side of the ship. There are also the same set ups on empress and verandah decks - but these are higher category cabins.
VentureMan_2000 Posted January 26, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 26, 2008 You can't book 6 on any ship. You will need two rooms. You can get an adjoining room. If your kids are old enough, I hear of people booking one of the adults in the cabin with 3 of the kids... and then switching once checked in. Best of luck! :)

miami Posted January 26, 2008 #7 Share Posted January 26, 2008 When you get on board, go to the purser's desk and ask for a 2nd key to each cabin, so you both have one for each cabin.
big_duck Posted January 26, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2008 I'm pretty sure you can't book 6 in a room except maybe for at cat 6e (Detiny, Triumph and Conquest Classes), and you would have to call because the web site only goes up to 5 ppl. If you decide to book 2 seperate rooms despite what people say you don't have to go through the whole split the adults up thing. As long as you are not booking guarantee, you can book the kids in their own room as long it is beside or across the hall from the parents. We usually book a balcony and an inside across the hall.
