noordam shore excursions

Mary, in case you're interested, we're going to Grand Turk Inn for the day. It's a short taxi ride and they have a private beach and will serve us lunch. You can go on line and check it out. It's tamer than kayaking, but looks very nice.

planning shore excursions from noordam....any reviews appreciated....how was the kayaking in grand turk....

I enjoyed the trip to the tropical rain forest in Puerto Rico. It was billed as a 5 hour trip but was 4 hours at most. It began at 7:30 AM and was due to end at 12:30 PM which was when the ship was to sail. The bus driver was knowledgable and the rain forest lush. Leaving town at 7:30 AM allowed us to see the heavy traffic going into San Juan for work. Looked like city traffic anywhere in the US.

Also took the bus trip in Maasdam that included the Dutch side and the French side of the island. That was interesting and we had a stop for shopping. Friend had gone to the beach at Grand Turk and it was a beautiful beach and gorgeous weather. There is a beach with chairs just for passengers on the ship. She did mention when she went into the water she sunk in the sand up to her ankles so she didn't stay in.

Just Back Yesterday From The Noordam, Which Is A Beautiful Ship. This Is What We Did : Grand Turk-took A Taxi For $3 Each To Governor's Beach And Rented 2 Chaise Lounges For $5 Each, We Were The Only Ones On The Beach And It Was Great.when We Came Back We Went Into Margaritaville And Had Drinks And Sat By The Pool Listening To Music.

Tortola-took The Ship's Excursion To Virgin Gorda And The Baths. You Climb Through Caves And Boulders To Get To A Gorgeous Beach.

St. Maarten- We Took A Cab $6 Each To Orient Beach And Rented Chaise Lounges For $7 Each. Beautiful Beach With Restaurants All Along It And A Nude Beach On One Side. We Checked It Out But Did Not Participate! St. Thomas-ships Excursion To Magen's Bay Beach, Again We Rented Lounges For $5 Each. We Should Have Taken A Taxi Here And Saved Some Money. San Juan- Just Walked Around Town And Did Some Shopping.
