How much land can you expect to see?

We're booked on the Norwegian Dream from Buenos Aires to Santiago and have chosen a starboard cabin. Although this is the side of the ship closest to land should we actually expect to see much land during the cruise?

We booked a starboard cabin on the Azamara Journey for the same reason. However, it made little difference. When cruising off the coasts, land was usually not visible. When going through the straits and channels, the scenery was on both sides.

Put it this way, you have chosen the best side if there is anything to see. We had starboard when we went down to Antarctica 2 years ago and were thrilled with that side of the ship as we seemed to have the best scenery on our side. Also if you are going through the Chilean Fjords, Starboard is great.
