flying out of Acapulco

Acapulco is really a fun airport. Well, okay, maybe not.

We flew home after a cruise on the Regal Princess in November 2006. Our flight, like most of the others carry passengers from the Regal, was a charter flight. There was a long line to check in. We were lucky and happened to arrive before most of the others on Delta flights, so we were towards the front of the line.

After security (another long line), we went to the departure lounge, better known as the departure standing around place. There were very few seats.

When it came time to board, they announced that they needed to inspect all carryon luggage. So another long line. Of course, since it was a charter everyone had just gotten off the Regal Princess. Iguess all us 50, 60, 70, etc. year olds looked like we were smuggling something out of Mexico.

I forgot to mention Delta was kind enough to give us a voucher for a free meal at the snack bar. They said we would not get a meal on the flight to Atlanta. They said we could have anything we wanted.

After another long line at the snack bar we learned we could have anything we wanted assuming we wanted a ham sandwich of doubtful heritage, a bag of chips and a candy bar.
