The following answers will be greatly appreciated:

Is there a refrigerator in the room?

Is there anywhere to buy specialty coffees?

Can you request robes?

Are the hairdryers and toiletries worthwhile or should I bring my own?

Thanks a lot:)

Is there a refrigerator in the room?

Nope, at least not in the balcony cabins. Not sure about the suites.

Is there anywhere to buy specialty coffees?

Yep. There is a little coffee place called "Cafe on the Way". It's on the 5th deck (Promenade) right near the casino.

Can you request robes?

There should be two in the closet in your cabin already. If not, ask the steward and he/she will provide them for you.

Are the hairdryers and toiletries worthwhile or should I bring my own?

I'd bring my own. The hairdryer was awful and the toiletries are hit and miss in the 'goodie' basket in the bathroom. Ours was mostly dryer sheets with a few razors and a tube of toothpaste in it. The pumps in the shower which usually have Dove shampoo and Lever 2000 soap didn't on our cruise. It was some nasty crap that dried my skin and hair out, with no lather, and smelled awful.

Hope this helps and you enjoy your Destiny cruise as much as we did! :)

Thanks a lot for the info.

I'm definitely bummed about the fridge. I always like keeping cold juices:(

I was on a Princess cruise in Oct 07 and the toiletries that they have are from their Spa...very nice.

Thanks again.

I haven't had a fridge yet that kept anything really cold. I always bring a collapsable cooler.

Thanks Mona.

I've been on Princess and the Valor previously and used the fridge for a few things. Not as cold as home, but since I wasn't at home, no worries. Oh well, being on a cruise is well worth no fridge!:D

I think that I will pack a collapsable cooler and plastic bags for ice, this time, since we'll be on the beach a lot.
