Going on our first Costa cruise after years of being a Celebrity cruiser. Can anyone tell me if you can get cash for the casino on your sail card like on Celebrity. Sure would save bringing cash. Thanks for any info available.

I got the following info secondhand from DW (the gambler in the family), she couldn't use the sail/cabin card to get money or chips in the casino. She had to use a (ours / mine  ) credit card to get money / chips, also Costa charge a commision for doing so.

Just take credit cards and a small amount of cash.

Have a good cruise.

That's what I feared LOL I refuse to pay a service charge to lose my own money, just loved that we could go anytime and take out what we wanted with no charge for it.

Thanks for the information, makes a big difference in what we take with.

I have a question also regarding the casino. Does anyone know what the table limits are for Black Jack in Europe in Euros? I know they don't use US$ and was wondering if the tables would have lower limits being that the limits are in Euros rather than US$. If I sit down at a E10 table in Euros, I am really sitting down at a $20(approx) table, I need to try and keep slightly on budget in the casino.

DW says that the lowest limit for Black Jack on the Med was Euro 5.

Thanks for that info, that helps. Now I know it costs more to gamble in Euros, as if I don't give it away fast enough....now that I have asked that, at the risk of sounding stupid, what kind of coins do the slots take? I imagine that a dollar machine is a Euro but are there Euro quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies?

The slot machines take metal tokens (don't remember the denominations), you can either change money (Euros?) at the Casino reception or feed the slot machine with say a Euro 10.00 note and you will get meal tokens in exchange.

Good luck. ;)
