klfrodo Posted February 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2008 Will be renting a car at MCO and driving to Cocoa Beach. Is the main road a toll road? If so, does anyone know the costs and are the collection points manned? Nothing worse that getting to a new city, picking up a car, hitting the road and finding out about the toll booths the hard way. Especially if you have no change, the toll is .75 and the toll booth is not manned.
hutt1 Posted February 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2008 The Beach line is the highway that leads from MCO to Port Canaveral. It is a toll highway and some of the booths are manned. Each toll is a different amount, .50, .75 and 1.00. The passenger holds your quarters! The road is really straight and it is an easy drive. My favorite part is cresting the bridge and seeing the ships in the port ahead of me. Enjoy your cruise.
NancyIL Posted February 5, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2008 There's only one toll booth after you leave the airport to drive to the port, and the toll is $1.25.

hutt1 Posted February 5, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2008 Well that explains why I had money left over the last time:) We usually come from the west side of Orlando so I have all the stops in my head.
