Cabins C742 orC743 on Golden Princess

Looking at cabin C743 on Golden Princess for Alaska in June. Has anyone had C743 or C742 on a Grand Class ship? Is it covered for weather protection? How is the pirviacy? On the deck plan, it looks like there is an open public deck right next to it. Is this correct?

We had C743 on Golden and it is 1/2 covered and 1/2 open with a slight extension to the rear on the balcony.There is no open deck next to it.Enjoy your cruise.

Sure would.We actually we had it for the first 10 days of a b2b we were on last month but moved to C753 when it became available so we would not have to move midcruise.So basically it was my second cabin choice.Enjoy!
