rdsqrl Posted February 9, 2008 #8 Share Posted February 9, 2008 I have your one day on the old Pacific Princess (the Love Boat) beat. 12-91, ll nights, Manaus Brazil to Fort Lauderdale. 1-95, 14 nights, Auckland New Zealand to Sydney Australia. 2-96, 10 nights, Honolulu Hawaii to Ensenada, Mexico. She certainly was a nice ship in her day. I sailed on both her and her twin, the Island, and I totally agree with you -- very nice ships, indeed. Great size, and the officers and staff always seemed to friendly and happy to be onboard. I really miss those two ships . . .

Cruisin' Chick Posted February 9, 2008 #10 Share Posted February 9, 2008 I'll have to check out imdb and see when the epi set on a Greek cruise was. I know someone who was one of the smiling faces (he was working for us as a temp and took some time off to be in this episode which was actually shot at sea). She certainly was a nice ship in her day. It was in the 1970's when I and five girl friends were on ship. We were allowed to wander around there were just a few crew on board. We had a wonderful afternoon dancing in the little cocktail lounge, and it was very small.it was a lovely day and we all sunned out on deck. Also went around to see the cabins...All towels had the Princess logo on them.Hum one washcloth went missing.;) She was a delightful ship .Had a cosy feeling about her. I am going to love the DVD.......:)

rdsqrl Posted February 10, 2008 #18 Share Posted February 10, 2008 Yay, Netflix has Season 1. I've added it to my queue -- what a fun way to feed my cruise addiction in between sailings. Hopefully the other seasons will come out soon.
Cruisin' Chick Posted February 10, 2008 #19 Share Posted February 10, 2008 I forgot about the guy my sister was dating in the 80s...he was an extra on a bunch of the episodes. My sister said he played the guy at the bar.
Cruise Gypsy Posted February 10, 2008 #20 Share Posted February 10, 2008 When we were in Vegas last month we played "The Love Boat" slot game. It is a ton of fun and the bonus levels are a blast plus the play the show theme song. The bonus rounds involve a invitation to the captains table, date with the doctor and Gopher's pick up line challenge. I have never seen it on any of the Princess ships which is a mistake I think because I think they would be popular. Besides what is up with the a whole row of Titanic slot machines?
