My 5 day Elation girlie cruise review.

Us 4 girls Planned on driving in to S.D the morning of the cruise but hit a major snag when the only ways over the passes into Southern Cal. were closed do to snow, so the second we heard the roads were open we were on the road within 10 minutes.

Arrived to a beautiful sunny day, parked down the street from the ship for $6.75 a day at the Brewery parking. Arrived at the pier at 11am and was on the ship having a Martini at the Casino bar by 11:30, we met the rest of our CC group there, where we all proceded to drink & drink & drink.

There were about 30 of us who met up and hung out the rest of the cruise.

The ship was beautiful, i was very impressed, it has been a long time since i have been on a Fantasy class so i didn't think i would like such a small ship but it really grew on me, the ship was very clean and looked band new, the dance lounge had a great band that played everynight but because we had late seating, we missed most of it and would run after dinner to catch a few songs.

Cabo was HOT, as we pulled into port there were whales everywhere. We went Ziplining and the desert sun just beat down on us.....so off for an ice cold Margarita we went.

Ensenada was sunny with a nice cool wind, we headed over to Papas & Beer for the day with our group that had now grown to even more people. (yes, i did get my bumpers stickered & other unmentionable things done to me)

I only saw about 5 kids on the ship (probably more but they must have been hidden)

Oh the food, i have been on many Carnival ship and the food can be great to not good but i have to say the food on Elation was wonderful, i have never had such a good Lobster in my life and the prawns that they now serve on the plate with it were fantastic!

The 4am pizza wasn't bad either.

I really have nothing bad to say at all about the cruise except they have to stop tempting me with those early morning bloody marys, which might i add were quite good.

This was also my very first inside cabin and i won't be doing that again, i need some kind of light to wake me up in the morning.

I will be adding Elation to my list of Favorite ships.

I'm so glad you made it to the ship through that snow storm! I love Ensenada for the day just because of Papas & Beer!

Come to find out, there were over 200 people in my town, trying to get to the ship also, thank goodness everyone made it when the roads were open or took alternative Nothern Cal. routes.

And ya Papas & beer is always an adventure:eek: :D

Thanks for the review! We'll be on the Elation in March. Have been on a couple of the other Fantasy class ships but never on this one. She sounds like she's a bit classier than the others (not as gawdy) Ahh memories of papas and beer:rolleyes: Was bumper stickered, flipped upside down and generally had a GREAT time there for my 40th BD:D

Thanks for a good review.....The unmentionable things sound fun too.....:D Can't go wrong on a drink-drink -drink when boarding. Pizza at 4:00 AM always works. We had a really cute Russian girl at the aft bar where the pizza was. Nice azz...what a way to end a night....;)

Glad you had a goodie......

"VIDEO"........Inquiering minds want to know...........;) The price of the Splendor on the CC boards is pretty good. I'm looking at it still. Have the S&S 4 and (S&S 5 about to be released out of my home town Tampa) coming up. Just wondering if going to the other coast would be cool. I keep thinking the main reason would be whale watching in Cabo. I could get into that. Have never seen one in person. In my house before this one dolphins used to swim up to the dock along with manatees......
