End of Hawaii and Alaska cruises from US?

Recommended Posts

Some of the other boards have picked this story up so I thought I would raise it here.

US Customs and Border Protection is setting to more strictly enforce the cabotage laws which require that a forein flagged vessel spend at least 48 hours away and visit several foreign ports in between two sucessive US ports of call.

Some feel this could kill the Hawaian and Alaska cruise industry as well as eventually affect some cruises out of Florida. RCI has a lot riding on this.
