CruisinMermaid Posted February 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2008 So I've been working with a travel agent to arrange a family reunion cruise next year on the NOS. We've got twelve cabins reserved right now and was a little surprised that the large ocean view cabins on our deck (deck 7) can only accomodate two people. Then there's the family ocean view stateroom that accomodates six, but if you have less than six you still pay for six. We have four in our family and we were told an interior cabin would accomodate us on the same deck. Doesn't seem right that the OV cabins are only available for two or six. This is our first time on RCI and we're excited about sailing on the NOS but a little disappointed we can't get an OV. Has anyone had the same experience?
Merion_Mom Posted February 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2008 In your cabin category, oceanview cabin Category F, there are only a few on each deck. The ones on Deck 7 just happen to be for two. There are two cabins on Deck 6 and two cabins on Deck 9 that are available for your cruise, and all four hold four passengers. https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/booking/getCabinList.do;jsessionid=0000natC_aMS5J_Z4KaemJ6bhsq:12hdhu6tq?cabincls=O&cabinType=LO&catCode=F&packageCode=NV05S016&shipCode=NV&sailDate=1090323&deckCode=09&hasAir=N&guestCount=
TwoTravelin Posted February 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2008 Almost all of the Category I Oceanviews accomodate 4. Also, if you want a family oceanview for only 4, tell your TA to call and ask. Many times they will release this cabin for 4 guests, but you will have to be a bit persistent. Good luck with your planning.
