Izzy Bee Posted September 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2004 Can anyone tell me the name of the drug store that is within walking distance from the pier? I read an older post and it said to walk to the left, go 2 rows? and make a right. I wish to re-stock my ever shrinking Retin A supply and heard it was much cheaper in Cozumel. I will have to take my chances on it being the "retin A" that I get in the US but am willing to try it..
solita Posted September 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2004 But there are drug stores at each of the piers. You don't even have to travel into town. Prices are just about the same no matter where you shop.

The 40G tube of Retin-A 0.05% costs $14 usd, $13 for the 0.025%, $11 for the 0.01% and $20 for the 0.1%."

zydecocruiser Posted October 8, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 8, 2004 You can email this place if you want to compare. They are downtown, but that isn't far: http://gocozumel.com/pharmacy/
CozSally Posted October 8, 2004 #7 Share Posted October 8, 2004 Parothead: In Cozumel you can buy any prescription med over the counter as long as it is not a controlled substance. Both valium and morphine are examples of controlled substances. If you are interested in a controlled substance, you would need a prescription from a local (Mexican) doctor in order to purchase it. Some drugs are less expensive than in the U.S., others are not. Know your prices in advance and you can comparison shop. Don't bother bringing your insurance prescription card!
