MOTS Owner's Suite

Hey there all. We are sailing the Mariner the end of August and I booked an owner's suite this time around. Last time we had a grand suite and enjoyed the space, along with the Conceirege service. I was curious if anyone has made the move from GS to OS and what you enjoyed most about it. We are on the hump this time around right next to the royal suite so it should make for a good time. :)

We booked an GS in 06 for the Navigator and the fabulous, wonderful Upgrade Fairy moved us to an OS. We then booked a GS on the Liberty and were actually left in it! LOL

So we did it in reverse. The advantages to the OS - bidet in the bathroom (we told the kids it was a cooler for beer, jk), the extra WIDTH of the room and the sectional sofa - when you pulled out the sofa bed, you still had another sofa left (DS slept there, DD got the sofa bed to herself). The swiveling TV in the OS is great

The table was "ok" to have but we actually liked the bar area in the GS a bit more - as you had more space to get in the closets.

The closets on both ROCK. The bathrooms with double sinks in both ROCK. The balconies for both ROCK.

You can't lose with either!

wow!! an OS!! you've up-ed the anti on us! LOL:D , We're in a GS but I was soo thinking of the OS just because I have a $ 2500 credit. but. I never liked how the TV could either be watched by people in bed or by people on the couch not both?? could someone clarify this since its a swivel TV? We always get GS because one person can lay out on the couch and one in the bed and both watch tv...stupid I know. And now you're going to ask if you are on a cruise WHY ARE YOU WATCHING TV???

I agree with everyone so far. I like the layout of the GS

because of the bar area. I didn't think the OS had as much

storage room and the closet was hard to open because the bed

was so close. After a couple of days I found another closet

hidden behind the mirror. The curtain was covering it up which is

why I didn't see it.

Regarding the tv, it swivels 180 degrees. So it's either facing the

couch or swivels to be facing the bed. Not too big of a deal if

it's only two of you but I could see that being a problem with

more people in the mix.

I actually prefer the OS's on the Vision class as there are two

tv's. You get a more distinct feel of having a bedroom and a living

room. And the layout is more condusive to having more than two

people staying in the suite. You get better privacy as there is a

curtain in between the living room and the bedroom and an

additional curtain the separates the main bed. We were having

a party one night and my guests were able to stay in the living

room while I was able to retire to my bed because I fell ill. I didn't hear them in the other room and they were able to leave without seeing me

in bed.
