platterb Posted February 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Cruising on the Maasdam, 3/25th sailing. When selecting tour options under Booking Excursions, the listing does not include many tours that are described in the General listing. What are we to assume? The tour is no longer available, it's sold out or can only be booked once we arrive on ship? Any help is appreciated.
Jen&Joe Posted February 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2008 I would say all of the above. It could be that the final details have not yet been arranged so they have not been added to the area where you book the excursions. It could also be that they are not offered on your cruise (ie: no need to have a whale watching excursion in the off season for whales). Or it could be that the tour is no longer offered. platterb Posted February 18, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Thanks for the info. See your heading for Europe on Zuiderdam this fall. It is such a nice ship. We're planning to head that way next Spring. Be sure to post about your trip.
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 18, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2008 HAL lists on their website all the tours that are available for each port. As you have discovered - once you actually go to your cruise, there are only a few listed. This happens all the time. Some ships are in ports longer than others, thus more choices of tours. I have noticed over the years that for ports were we leave at 1 or 2, the choices are very limited compared to another ship that may stay in that port until 5. Tours that are sold out, will show up that way. Lately we have noticed that HAL hasn't been offering too many extra excursions once we got on the ship.
