Insurance Question

I am booking a cruis today and if I sign up for the insurance at the time of booking, it will cover any pre-existing problems. The rate is really good but the Medical coverage is $10,000 and evacuation is $100,000. Does this sound like enough for Medical? She said it is the same RCCL offers in their package.

mine has 250,000. Something serious could eat 10,000 in a day or two. You need to check the exact policy to see if it covers preexisting conditions as there are many different kinds.

Check out statravel.com they are a student travel site but insure anyone and I believe that they cover pre-existing though I would call them for verification.

Wow. That's scary. I have $2,000,000.00 worth of coverage.

 

Okay, I admit that Canadian coverage is usually a little different, being that they want to medevac you as quickly as possible because the insurance company's bills end as soon as you are back in Canada. But that low a limit.. I would never accept. We had over $2400 in bills for a few visits on the ship for a skin infection on the leg.

I got Access America insurance through AAA; they cover pre-existing as long as you purchase it within 10 days of booking. That gives you a little time to compare.

CSA offers a policy (Freestyle Luxe) that covers pre-existing conditions if puchased within 24 hours of final payment.

 

I agree that $10,000 medical is not nearly enough. It wouldn't be for me anyway.
