Cell phone service on the Crown

Sailing 3/22 on the Crown, wondering if use of cell phones is available yet. I know installs are happening on all princess ships but not sure which and when. If anyone recently on the Crown could verify this, I'd appreciate . Thanks.:)

Surprised you would even want this - most of the folks on the boards here are reporting roaming charges are over $1/minute for the on-ship tower. If you are in San Juan or St Thomas you get normal US coverage (may not even be roaming depending on your carrier). Other ports are international and you may need to add that coverage.

AT&T list Princess as having on-board Cell available for $2.49 a minute.:eek:

 

I know they are in the process of rolling this out on all the ships.
