c-to-sea Posted March 5, 2008 #26 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Yes, I had forgotten about the Cedarwood. A good choice if you can get a room there. Give it a try. It's also close to the main area of Sidney.
scottbee Posted March 5, 2008 #27 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Thanks for your suggestions. How about the Cedarwood Inn in Sidney. It seems to be right across the street from the ferry. Very convient for us Sunday morning. Just a warning if you say "The ferry" when talking to someone from Victoria, 99.99% of the time they'd assume the 'BC Ferries' terminal located at Swartz Bay, approx 6 km further north. But, yes it's across the street from the Anacortes ferry. On the downside, it's right underneath the approach to the main Runway (09/27) @ YYJ/Victoria International, a fairly busy airport. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=9522+lochside+drive,+sidney,+bc,+V8L+1N8&sll=48.64136,-123.401098&sspn=0.077699,0.166168&ie=UTF8&ll=48.645443,-123.404746&spn=0.019423,0.041542&t=h&z=15&iwloc=addr
Rare itsanita Posted March 9, 2008 Author #28 Share Posted March 9, 2008 Well, thanks everyone. We are booked in the 2 bedroom apartment at Cederwood in Sidney. When it gets a little closer, we will reserve our ferry from Vancouver to Victoria and from Sidney to Anacortes. Looking forward to visiting Victoria again...and I've never been to the Sidney area. I understand the Annacortes Ferry ride itself is an "excursion" as the scenery is beautiful.
