nseagirl Posted February 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2008 I took a cruise back in 2002 and am scheduled to take another the end of April. I dug up a friend to go with me on this one. My husband wants no part of cruising:( and most of the people I'd want to be sharing a cabin with, can't afford it. I had never realized that so many people went solo. I wouldn't mind doing that at all. I enjoy spending time with just a book for company. And as you can see from my name, I always love the sea. So, my question is...if I were to book a solo, and then, later on, someone decides they'd like to join me, can that be done? Can I add them to my cabin? If I wait for a committment from them, I may never get to cruise. Thanks for any help!
Rare Roz Posted February 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2008 You can add someone, provided it doesn't put the ship as a whole over its passenger capacity. If a cruise has a lot of 3rd and 4th passengers in cabins, capacity can be eaten up quickly. Roz
jp2001 Posted February 25, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2008 Most of the time, there is no problem adding someone later, The fare is never guaranteed for the new person but since solo pay about 200% fare, each person should pay less in the end. Solo is the way to go, have fun!
