stitchintime Posted February 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Well, not only did I fall in love with the Summit, I also discovered the flirtini martini. My only regret was I forgot to buy the recipe booklet that was offered on Friday. To my shock, it was never offered while purchasing drinks. The closest thing i have found is a pink flirtini. Does anyone have the recipe? I would also be happy to answer any questions about the summit. Thanks
bubbie617 Posted February 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Hi Stitch, We'll be on Summit at the end of March. If you haven't gotten the recipe by then, I'll try to get it for you. Any good secrets about Summit I should know? We were on Infinity a couple of years ago, but each ship has its own character.
Kaboochi Posted February 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Hi Stitch, We were on the same cruise with you. Wasn't that a fantastic ship? This was by far out fav cruise (13 of us) to date. ervice, food was A+++ and we had the most comfortable bed! I did not try the flirtini but would also like to know the recipe. We missed the martini tasting evening which our group regrets. I thought it was a nightly venture only to find out it was just for one night. Did you go to it? There must have been 200 individual trays each holding 6 martinis - Maybe next time. I'll check back to see if someone has posted the recipe. Lsimon Posted February 23, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2008 ... I also discovered the flirtini martini... Does anyone have the recipe?... I have a martini menu from a few years ago which lists the ingredients as Van Gogh Raspberry Vodka Cointreau Rose's, Cranberry and pineapple juice Topped with sparking wine. Written in the side, by a bartender according the the person who originally posted it, is "3oz vodka and 1oz cointreau". Nothing is mentioned on the other quantities. Have fun experimenting! Cotton Ginny Posted February 23, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Two cruises ago, I was given the X Signature Serices Cocktal Recipes book with about 50 different drinks. Alas, the flirtini is not included. Try google?
Kaboochi Posted February 23, 2008 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Stitch, how is this? This is from drinkmixers.com and the recipe is for 1. Check out the site, you can change the quantities. I don't know if this is X's recpie or not: Flirtini 2 pieces fresh pineapples 1/2 oz Cointreau® orange liqueur 1/2 oz vodka 1 oz pineapple juice 3 oz Champagne Muddle the pineapple pieces and cointreau in the bottom of a mixing glass. Add vodka and pineapple juice and stir. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and top with champagne. Garnish with a cherry, and serve. AND Flirtini Martini Recipe Ingredients 2 pieces fresh pineapples 1/2 oz orange liqueur 1/2 oz vodka 1 oz pineapple juice 3 oz Champagne Directions: In a Flirtini Glass with ice, mix, stir and enjoy!
