Taxi from Ashford to Dover

We will be coming in to Asford by Eurostar from Paris. I would like to take either a taxi or private shuttle to Dover Port. Can anyone give me suggestions on the best way to do this. I have heard it is about 30 min. from Ashford to Dover. Thank you for any help. bojangs@aol.com Donna

Local taxis can be found on tel no 01233-666666 (Sorry don't know what the code is when calling from outside UK. Think they are called Ashford Taxis.

Dial the international access code for the country from which you're calling (eg 00 from EU countries). Then dial the UK's country code (44). Then dial the area code without the leading zero, and the rest of the number.

Thanks for this Globaliser couldn't quite remember the details on dialling from outside UK.

Bojangles may also wish to consider taking the train from Ashford International to Dover Priory (departs from Ashford International) and then taking a taxi from Dover Priory to port. Trains from Ashford to Dover are fairly frequent and it's only a 10 minute journey from rail station to port in Dover!
