TXRED10 Posted February 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2008 We are staying in downtown Seattle before and after our cruise in May and can't wait to enjoy and experience Seattle! My question is what is the best seafood restaurant to eat at in downtown Seattle? We are really looking forward to having some great food during our stay! Thanks for your help!! Sailorgirlseattle Posted February 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2008 There are a ton ... from sidewalk order-at-the-counter places to high-end chef restaurants. With a view or doesn't matter? Price? Let us know what you're looking for and we can make some suggestions.
briangl Posted February 24, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2008 My favorites are... Ivar's Fish Bar @ Pier 54, (fast food but still very good) Anthony's by @ Pier 66 Etta's @ Pike Place Market McCormick & Schmick's on 1st
SeattleCruiselover Posted February 24, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2008 Can't argue with any of Brian's choices. Would also add the Crab Pot on the waterfront.
TXRED10 Posted February 24, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted February 24, 2008 Thanks for all your suggestions! We don't need anything too fancy, just a place to go have dinner at. Price really isn't an issue either! Can't wait to check out Pike Place Market, looks so great!
Sally Forth Posted February 24, 2008 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2008 I second Etta's. Viv
maple Posted April 22, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Try Lowell's in Pike Place. Get there early. They had grilled Hailbut when we went. Great crab cakes also! I also noticed they serve lunch in the Space Needle and we might try that. $30 hamburger, but enjoy the view and the experience!! Probably not Texas beef!!! cruznut1111 Posted April 22, 2008 #8 Share Posted April 22, 2008 WOW! Why am I even trying to answer this question??? Perhaps because like all (NW) Seattleites I am polite and wanting to be helpful, and perhaps because I know how futile a question it can be! Yesterday the best seafood restaurant was............. Here is the best I can do.. If I don't care tonight about how many pats of butter at 14 grams a pat- any of Tom Douglas's restaurants= Etta, Palace and a couple others. If I want to barely get off the island and get right back on - Ivars, the restaurant, not the "grab the chowder and get back on line" outside service where 98% of the tourists are standing. If I'm in a "laze about a bit" mode, want the perfect view and I have the coupon, "Fisherman's Catch." For "good old reliable" it's Anthony's. When tradition trumps all or I am staying at Lake Union, nowhere but RAY's!!! I'm in the market and hungry- Lowell's or Jake's. It is really hard to get a bad seafood meal in Seattle.:D
SeattleCruiselover Posted April 22, 2008 #9 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Let us not forget the Fisherman's on the waterfront, too.

Rare Lois R Posted April 24, 2008 #11 Share Posted April 24, 2008 Hi,:) I had dinner at Elliott's By The Bay when I visited Seattle in 2006. What a view:D (and the food isn't too shappy either;) )
