Hi everyone. Just came off a fantastic NCL Jewel cruise and will be sailing for the first time on RCCL Jewel Of The Seas to Panama Canal next February. My kids are young and will be 7 and 9 the time we cruise. The ship looks like it has a kids pool area. Is that for "toddlers" or appropriate fo my boys ages?

Also- we plan on dining late and have the boys eat earlier and head off to the kids club. Anyplace to bring them around 6PM for mac n cheese or a burger? Thanks :)

The kids will have a blast! Take them to Windjammer--plenty of burgers and mac n cheese there! Or, order something from room service!

I'm not sure of the ages for the "kids" pool--I'm pretty sure the 7 year old would be allowed, but I've never taken kids on a cruise, so..... I'm just going by what I've seen!

Yes, they have a kids' pool and waterslide. I saw many kids at least 9 years old there. My son was 6 so we hung around the pool alot. The Seaview Cafe has burgers, fries, etc and is right near the pool area. You could have them eat right there at your lounge chairs by the kids' pool.

Jewel is a beautiful ship and the Adventure Ocean program (aka kid storage) is awesome. You will be amazed at the age appropriate programs in addition to the great pool area.... There will be plenty to eat and things to do for everyone 24-7. Don't worry about how many other kids are on the ship because the Adventure Ocean staff will provided everything your children need to have a great time. Just be prepared for the begging to go again :)

Thanks everyone. We have never cruised for an extended period of time like this (11 nights) and hope there will be other kids on board. It falls into our "presiden't week" school holiday period here in NY so they are only missing a few days and think it will be a great educational experience :)
