You can use Google to search the site by adding site:cruisecritic.com to your search there. I think that would also reduce server load, but I'm not sure about that.

Search is nice but not totally eliminated since you can still search at the forum level.

 

Losing search is a small price to pay to actually be able to read the threads the same day you click on them. It does appear that the board is much faster than it was last week.
