Apalmetto Posted March 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2008 As I review the shore excursions booklet I received this week I feel compelled to sign up for some excursions before they sell out. What happens if I find a better deal on independent travel prior to sailing? Can I cancel without penalty? If so how much notification is required? smeyer418 Posted March 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2008 generally except for some high end tours(like the helicopter sightseeing) you can cancel without penalty with a minimum 48 hours notice prior to arrival at that port I believe if I remember correctly,,,

Apalmetto Posted March 3, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted March 3, 2008 Thanks for verifying the trip excursion cancellation policy. There are many options in independent travel that may be a better deal. I just did not want to book a ship sponsored one and not be able to cancel to take advantage of the many "deals" cruisers are posting on "roll call." Ms belp Posted March 3, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2008 NCL will hold the cruise ship if you are on one of their excursions, but they will not if you are on an independent one. We've seen people get left.
