Sorry, I have to disagree. We are not shoppers. There are plenty of thinks to do on the Eastern Caribbean itineraries without shopping.

We did the western this past march and loved it! Roatan- we did Tabyana beach wich was so beautiful with awesome snorkeling! Belize- Bannister Island which was the most beautiful and relaxing place! Cozumel- shopping and snorkeling with the fury and the private island which was so amazing! We loved everything about the western! Most of all it was soooo relaxing!:)

We've done the Western Carib itenerary - Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica twice with Carnival, once with Princess and have loved it. We love Jamaica and always book our tours with http://www.karandastours.com/sightSeeing.html

Next March 1 we are booked on the Norwegian Spirit out of New Orleans. The price was unbelievable, especially with my husband's miliary discount. But even without, this itenerary - Costa Maya Mexico, Belize City, Santo Thomas Guatamala, Cozumel - is available for less than $600 per person (plus taxes and fuel). Our cruise is less than $1350 for both of us - inside cabin mid ship.

 

We're excited about the itenerary because of the cave tubing in Belize and the ruin tours in all 4 ports.

 

I've read lots of posts about the Eastern Carib ports/tours and haven't been excited enough to do it yet - maybe someday.

We feel that the islands (ports) in the Eastern Caribbean are much prettier than the Western.
