I want to use points for a visit to Hong Kong. Can someone provide pro's and con's for any of these properties or a recommendation?

Thanks!

Here is my shortlist -

Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong

1 Harbour Road, Wanchai

Hong Kong SAR , China

JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong

Pacific Place, 88 Queensway

Hong Kong SAR , China

Renaissance Kowloon Hotel, Hong Kong

22 Salisbury Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon

Hong Kong SAR , China

The JW Marriott is the high end of the Marriott properties in Hong Kong. It is very conveniently located in the Central/Admiralty district on Hong Kong Island as part of the Pacific Place Mall, along with the Conrad and the Island Shangri-La. I have stayed there many times on business and can vouch for it's 5 star status.

If you want to be closer to the tourist action, then the Renaissance on Kowloon will have you in the middle of that hectic area around Nathan Road/Salisbury Road.

The Renaissance Harbor View is out by the Convention Center (also on HK Island) and not very conveniently located, in my opinion.

My choice in terms of getting the most value for your Marriots Reward points would be the JW.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! I would assume that the JW is still a reasonable base for touring with good access to all normal sightseeing activities/locations?

We just stayed at the Renaissance on Kowloon. It is the same hotel as the old New World Hotel where we have stayed many times. Used points here as we are Marriott loyalists. We think it is well placed for access to the Star Ferry, subway, Nathan Road, and our favorite restaurant - Spring Deer! It is also right on the waterfront and a good place to stroll in the evening for the light show. The Intercontinental is also in the same complex - New World shopping center. The view from the bar in the Interncontinental is fabulous - and afternoon tea there is great!
