a9753 Posted March 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2008 What is the earliest time you can get with the new procedure? 8am? What is the earliest you've ever gotten off the ship and through Customs?
Pam in CA Posted March 10, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2008 What is the earliest time you can get with the new procedure? 8am? What is the earliest you've ever gotten off the ship and through Customs? What port? What time is your ship scheduled to arrive? If your ship is scheduled to arrive at, say, 4AM, you'll get a very different answer than a ship scheduled to arrive at 7:30AM. The cruise port also makes a big difference. Disembarking in Santiago or Venice is very different from disembarking in FLL.
DanJ Posted March 10, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2008 When we got off the CB Jan 27th in Port Everglades, the ship docked around 645am, and we were off by 725am as "walk-off's" (which means you take your luggage off with you). The earliest scheduled debark times were around 815am.
smitty3000 Posted March 10, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2008 We are suppose to dock in Whittier at 12:30 AM on Princess Sapphire. Any idea when we can start debarkation? We can take luggage with us to save time. Any chance of being off the ship by 7:00 AM?

chrysalis Posted March 10, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 10, 2008 Can anyone help out with this? In late December, we arrived at FLL on the Royal, were in the first group off the ship, and did not get off until 8:30am,....... and that was with the new proceedure and disembarking the smallest ship in the fleet. So, predicting is hard to do.

KreinKrunker Posted March 11, 2008 #9 Share Posted March 11, 2008 Port Everglades-March 7-Island Princess Walkoff was scheduled for 6:45 am. There was some delay, as the gangway for the 6th deck wouldn't work, and they had to move the other in to the 5th deck. The second gangway was eventually fixed. wldcats98 Posted March 12, 2008 #10 Share Posted March 12, 2008 I don't know about other ships but I had read on other ports how early disbarkment was the way to go. Just got back from the Dawn and the experiecne was a nightmare that I won't repeat. No one had any idea what was going on. We were suppose to walk off at 8:15. At 8:30 they herded us (about 100 with luggage) into the dinning room. Finally at 9 they let us off......people were pushing, no order.
