Best Beach/Resort in Mazatlan and Cabo for children

Can anyone recommend a good beach/resort for these two ports? We have been to both ports but without children. The children range from 13 months to 12 years. I don't recall anything in Mazatlan and in Cabo we went to Lovers Beach. Any info will greatly be appreciated!

In Mazatlan, if you want a resort you might try the El Cid. It has a great pool area on the beach and a nice restaurant.

Not sure about Cabo. We had wanted to use the Melia's resort but it was $35 per person and we just hung out at Medano beach instead but with children that may not be that great an option.

There is only one swimmable beach in Cabo, Medano Beach. All of the restaurants and bars have lounge chairs that you can use for the day if you are eating/drinking. The ME is very adult orientated and are sending an email out stating this. Their non-refundable deposit seems to range from $35-$60 pp depending on how busy they are. There are no other resorts in Cabo that allow day use.

Your kids (and you) will love the beach!:)
