Connecting Balconies on the Vision?

We have three adjacent rooms on an upcoming Vision trip, and I'd like to know if the dividers between the balconies can be removed or opened? We're on deck 8 in an OS and two GS's

I sailed on the Navigator at the end of January. We had an ajoining room with other family members. We were told under no circumstances would the Captain allow the balcony door between the two rooms be open. Not sure if this is a policy or not but it was what we were told.

I think, on the older ships, the balcony and divider are actually part of the hull of the ship. They won't open.

I was just on the Vision on Deck 8 in a JS. I remember looking at the divider and thinking that it could not be opened up.
