Cabins on Millenium

I've been looking at a cruise to Aust. and New Zealand on the 18th of Jan 09, and have several questions about cabins. One is about a CC cabin think it's number was 6136, that is stuck into the middle of some suites...looks like it's not the best cabin...although it's got a huge balcony according to deckplans, but also seems not to have any seating?? Plus a connecting door to a suite which can be a disaster! The othe 2 cabins were 7177...how much larger the balcony than the others on this deck, and another was with an angle balcony like 7166. Weve just been on the Quest in Dec. and are spoiled (YES you die hard Celeb fans...it is a great cruise an great ship) but feel either Celeb or HAL are the only trips to this area we can afford! But we kno nothing about the Celeb ship (been on the Volendam..a nice ship, not as nice as Quest..love those "R" ships)

Hi Napi's Mom,

We had 6135, the corresponding stateroom port side, on Millie's 11/18/07 Med cruise. It was wonderful. Lydia, the stateroom attendant, was amazing. The room was always perfect, and she really treated her guests like good friends. Yes, there is a connecting suite, but we had the same loveseat we have had in all the other balcony cabins. If you are concerned about having the connecting door between the rooms, what about 6144 or 6143? I understand that these rooms have an extra 10 or 12 inches in width plus the tremendous balcony and no connecting door. The balcony supports two lounge chairs, and a table with two deck chairs for eating or playing cards. It was fantastic!

Good luck and happy sailing,
