Airfare - Boston to Miami

Our friends in Boston would like to join us for a Monday - Friday cruise on the Majesty out of Miami on April 21 - 25. Airfare from Boston to Miami or Ft Lauderdale is really high during that time. Does anyone know any secrets to getting reasonable airfare? Leaving from nearby cities? Thanks for any ideas.

They can try flying out of Manchester, NH. Sometimes the rates are less. It depends on where they live, they can also try Providence RI.

Ooh, also, try to fly to a closer airport to Miami...instead of direct into Miami.

Good luck. We just payed a ridiculous amount to fly to Cancun out of Boston and our direct flight for our cruise in April to San Juan is now over $700+. We payed $550.

That is April school vacation week in MA so don't expect to find a cheap fare especially this late. Check out Jet Blue out of BOS or Southwest out of Manchester but don't wait much longer to book since that is a popular vacation week.

Check Kayak.com - they will give you a huge list of flights and nearby airports. As others have said, that is a primo travel week, and while there were connecting flights for $324 available on Delta for those dates, that was with a return flight from Miami departing at 7:30 a.m., not good for a cruise. If you keep checking everyday, you might find something, but fares are likely just going to keep going up because of high demand.
