Booking while on a cruise

Well, sorta...

They've got a "book while onboard" program on four of their ships. You get onboard credit for your next cruise if you book it from onboard one of the four. Called their 800# and was told you have to book while onboard:

Valor

Legend

Liberty

Fascination

You don't have to book the future cruise to be on one of those four, but you have to book while ON one of them to get the benefits. My vacation specialist said it's their "Sail into the Future" program.

Carnival does not do cruise booking while on-board. Sorry.

Thanks for the update, this was news to me... always leaning on these boards...

Sorry to have mis-lead you BRC6C.

Any idea of how much of an on-board-credit they offer... NotAPirate ?

We were on Valor twice and Legend once from November 2006 to April 2007. The only thing that we found was the Vacation Club deal that included land packages.

Since cruising is our vacation choice, we weren't interested.

Did "Sail Into The Future" start recently or did we miss out?

Cruised on the Legend in Feb, pre-paid $100 for a sail into the future certificate to be used to book a cruise within 18mo. Both $50 and $100 were available, got my certificate in the box outside my cabin the last night of cruise.

Hope this helps

Is this program going to be expanded and offered while on-board other ships?

Did a quick call to Carnival and the rep said it's been reopened (?) since last fall, can only be booked from those mentioned above, and gives a $50 onboard credit for 3-5 day cruises or $100 onboard credit for 6 day or longer. He didn't kow if they were planning on expanding it.
