room service menu

Cunard may be owned by umbrella company Carnival Corp., but QM2 is owned by Cunard, a thoroughly British company.

Unfortunately this is not true, as much as I would like it to be.

Cunard does not exist as company any more. Everything left is a name.

Plainly written in the brochure

Cunard is a brand of Carnival plc

and if one books

"Cunard" means Carnival plc trading as Cunard line

And wikipedia gives the date of death (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cunard_Line):

On 1 January 2005 the business, assets and liabilities of Cunard Line Ltd were transferred to Carnival plc, ending the Cunard name as a business entity - the name still appears on the side of Queen Mary 2 and sails under the Cunard brand, but it is controlled by Princess Cruises in California.

To get back to the menu's, in Sept on QM2, the room service menu in my inside cabin was different to the room service menu in the "outside cabin" across the hall.

During conversation this came up and we actually compared the menu's, there was no doubt the one for the outside cabin contained more items than my own.
