Fort Lauderdale Hotel Recommendations.....

So, is it possible to get from Miami airport to a Ft. Lauderdale hotel? Do you know if HAL will supply transportation if you use one of their hotels?

Has anyone stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn - Dania? It looks like they have a shuttle from airport and to cruiseport. Is there anything around it (stores etc.)?

Hi Navysis:) I am single and have stayed in FLL many times.

The hotels all along 17th have always felt fine to me.

Even without a shuttle, its usually only about 10 bucks by cab.

 

I believe Laquinta does offer a shuttle service and

has a very good reputation as well.

A little more expensive than some places but they treated us very well... We arrived just when the happy hour was ending, they told us that they would keep the bar open for an extra 20 minutes or so in order to allow us to take our luggage upstairs and then come back down an relax with a cool one.

 

The night before our ship was to leave, I decided to take the rental car back that night rather than wait until the next morning. I mentioned off hand that I was heading to the airport, the girl at the desk inquired why I was heading over that way. When she heard what I was up to, she told me to give the desk a call once I dropped the car off and they would come pick me up at the airport and bring me back to the hotel. The next morning they provided free shuttle to Port Everglades.

 

They people were always friendly and made us feel right at home. The facilities and the rooms were very clean.
