brzymom Posted March 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2008 I read here on the boards that several major lines either refunded or offered future shipboard credit for passengers who were charged the $5 pp per day fuel surcharge after they had paid deposit and been quoted a fare. Does anyone know whether or not Carnival has come to a decision as to whether or not they will follow suit???

Does anyone know whether or not Carnival has come to a decision as to whether or not they will follow suit??? I wouldn't hold my breath.... Looks like the fuel surcharge is here and its gonna stay until.... ... If you have ordered anything from an Internet site you will notice that most of the freightlines are adding a surcharge to the shipping cost.... No, I don't like it either. Booked a cruise in Oct for this May. There wasn't anything said then but I noticed that I was hit with the fuel surcharge when I paid the final payment.... Only thing that I can say go about it was that the cruise price went down almost enough to cover the surcharge.... Joey
