beverland Posted September 28, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2004 This excursion is being offered thru Celebrity and looks like a fun thing to do. We usually do the "beach" or "snorkeling" thing in Cozumel, but wanted to do something different. Is Playa Mia the beach you can go to with unlimited drinks & water activities? I think they also have a pool here. If you've done this excursion or know anyone who has, please give me all the details. Thanks!!
Cotton Posted September 28, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2004 Bev, could you tell me more about the cuisine deal? Would love to go to that in Nov. Are you saying it's offered AT Playa Mia? Or somewhere in San Miguel? Thx for any info.

ScubaMare Posted September 28, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2004 Sherri at CozumelInsider also offers an awesome Yucatecan & Mexican Food tasting and cooking class. It looks like it may be a little less expensive and not as long as the one mentioned above. Cotton Posted September 28, 2004 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2004 Thx so much to both of you for the info. I think I would enjoy the "Tasting" Sherri mentioned. Mainly, because it's only 2-3 hours (I do want to do other things, too), and also it's only $30! I'll give this some serious thought. Sounds like mucho fun! kathy7558 Posted September 29, 2004 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2004 Here's a link to some information I found on this beach - it used to be named Playa del Sol. http://cozumelmexico.net/Playa_del_Sol.html I wonder if it's still all inclusive now - that's not what this website info seems to say. beverland Posted October 4, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted October 4, 2004 We went there on our last trip to Cozumel. Yes, Playa Sol is now Playa Mia. Did the shore excursion through RCCL. Drinks are included, but food isn't. You have your choice of beverages, but they give them to you in "tiny" plastic cups. My SO drinks beer, so he spent more time going back and forth to get drinks that he did drinking them. If we ever go again, we'll take large coozie cups for the drinks. We spent most of our time around the pool, but you can't get drinks from the pool bar in the "all inclusive" deal. You have to walk a little ways to an inside bar. There are several inside you can choose from.
beverland Posted October 13, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted October 13, 2004 Has anyone done the Cuisine Excursion? We want to go ahead and book this, but it's not inexpensive, so I'd really like someone else's opinion.
