Advice on Marigot please

Recommended Posts

We will be in st. martin at the end of next month, we would like to spend part of our morning in Marigot. We would like to shop and maybe get a quick bite in a french cafe, preferrably with a view of the water. Any suggestions on where to eat? (even if it is a bakery or sidewalk cafe TIA

there are cafes on the main street across from the water--also some cute shops & a nice fort on top of the hill...get there early-it does get congested,,, we had lunch in a small cafe right on the corner--sorry don't reall the name--it was very nice but the bathrooom not up to standards!

There is a bakery (sorry, don't recall the name) in Marigot just across from the square that is absolutely fantastic! Its a veeeery yellow building with most of the seating outside. Out tour guide recommended it, and we were not disappointed. They have both sweet and savory items, so we were able to make a nice lunch out of it.
