rubinstein2r Posted March 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2008 I'm looking for details on the shore excursion from the port in Alexandria which includes a camel ride to Sakkara. How long is the ride? Was it one person per camel? Did you like it? What other parts of the excursion did you enjoy or not? Thanks so much, Myra in Arizona
WeBeGone Posted March 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2008 There are no camel rides at Sakkara. They are at the Giza pyramids. You can choose to ride solo or double. The ride is about 20 minutes. Yes, it's worth it!

WeBeGone Posted March 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2008 There are no "regular tourist" camel rides offered at sakkara. I did see a couple of camel cops but they're generally not for tourist riding.
