Pizza on the Dawn

Does one still tip after eating pizza on the Dawn? On our last Princess cruise we did, but that was before they started to put the tips on your shipboard account.

It isn't necessary, but we always try to tip after pizza. It has worked well in the past as we dine there often, and no matter how crowded, they always find us a table and remember us. ;)

We never have... Just considered it like eating in any of the dining rooms.

There is no need to tip if you eat in the pizzeria. There is a $3 room service charge if you have the pizza brought to your room by room service.

I agree, they do not expect and definitely do not solicit the tips. But it sure is nice to see their smiling face after they receive it for service beyond the norm. :)

If we eat it in the pizzaria then we do not tip, as others have said it is the same as eating in other dining venues and part of your auto tipping. :)

We are on the Dawn and had Pizza there yesterday. It was good and no tipping was required. The Pizza was very good.

Remember the pizzeria on Dawn Princess is not the same as the counter service you find on other Princess ships. This is table service – when we had dinner there one night, our choices made dinner four courses and the service was excellent (as was the quality of the food). Of course you should tip.

I am glad to know we are not the only ones out there that tip on the Sun Class ships for service in the Pizzeria.

I remember once going into the casino to get change. I knew the cashier and he asked me "what do you need change for?" I told him where we were eating and that we always left a tip afterwards. He smiled and said that it doesn't happen often, but he knew the servers would be very grateful. As said previously, we dine there often, and have always found a tip was warranted because of the great service we have received. ;)
