Best Recommendation for a nice Motel near the terminal?

We are looking for a nice,moderately priced motel/hotel near the Ft.Lauderdale terminal for one night next January.A place with a nice pool and within walking distance to some dining and nightlife would be nice.

Any recommendations anyone?

If you would like one withing walking distance to everything, the Embassy Suites on 17th Street would be your best bet. Directly across the street from a strip mall with grocery, drug store and liquor store. There are also many dining options within walking distance.

If available on hotwire for your date it can be very reasonable also, it is very easy to recognize. Look for three stars with the S for suite symbol in downtown Fort Lauderdale area. Remember, three stars!

We have stayed there many times and have always enjoyed it from the managers free cocktail reception to the rather extensive breakfast that is offered. That along with nice two room suites it can't be beat for that area.

Before I forget, they also offer a free shuttle from the airport and to the cruise port the morning you embark your ship.
