Portable Booster or Clip on Booster

Debating between a portable high chair/booster seat or clip on booster seat. Have you used either with small child?

We have a portable booster...similar but it is quite bulky. It hooks to chairs fairly easy, but puts our son a little lower than the table.

We are looking at a clip on as it would be easier to pack, but worried that it may not clip correctly to all tables.

I've used the first one on cruises. I just took it apart and packed it in different suitcases. But I don't know if I would do that anymore now that airlines are getting picky with # of bags/weight.

Lately we have just been using the cruise highchairs
