WeWant2Cruise4Ever Posted September 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2004 Hi All Been thinking about going on the Zuiderdam in May 2005 for the first time. Our balcony IS VERY IMPORTANT to us and we were wondering if there were any balconies, other than suites, that were Larger than the rest and also if they were completely covered...... Also if the rooms in the Aft have covered balconies.... Thank you all so very much for any help you can give us. Happy Cruising to All
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2004 Besides the suites, there are several "A" category cabins in the aft. They are not covered. Anyone can see you from the above decks.
Charliesmom Posted September 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 29, 2004 If you are on deck 8 the aft balconies are covered. However, they are immediately below the Lido Deck and you might be disturbed by people moving chairs about or by running feet overhead. Roboat Posted September 30, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Take a look at the deck plan on the web site. You will see there are many veranda cabins with identical cabins above and below them, on the "flat" sides of the ship, meaning the deck above is not recessed at all in that area. For example, we are booked into B5162 on the Veranda (fifth) deck. The Upper Veranda (sixth deck) cabins with verandas are directly above us, so the veranda is covered. Ziggy7 Posted September 30, 2004 #5 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Hi All Been thinking about going on the Zuiderdam in May 2005 for the first time. Our balcony IS VERY IMPORTANT to us and we were wondering if there were any balconies, other than suites, that were Larger than the rest (Our 4135 verandah was bigger than our 5102 cabin, dont know why tho) and also if they were completely covered...... (Aft cabins are half and half) Also if the rooms in the Aft have covered balconies....half and half, you can see into the aft verandahs from the lido deck. Thank you all so very much for any help you can give us. Happy Cruising to All Hope this helps some :)
Candy Posted September 30, 2004 #6 Share Posted September 30, 2004 We had a Cat S wake veranda in May and will be in a Cat A wake veranda cabin in November. The verandas are 3-4 times larger than on the sides. Photo link in sig below.
