Can anyone tell me if you can drink your duty free drinks in the cabin. You was when we booked the cruise but been told its turned into the same rule on the ocean village.

Thanks:)

Do not believe everything you have been told. Effectively there is no change.

does that mean if you bring drink onboard (alcholic and non) from port it wont be confiscated?

Hi MK from MK

This was clarified some time ago to a number of cruisers on here and other boards that you can bring booze on board as long as you are not drunk at the time.

Personally I have never taken any booze on board, the ship tend to have plenty:D. Anyway with gin at £10.00 a Ltre why bother.

We have just returned from 12 weeks South American cruise on the Artemis. No only can you drink duty free on board you can bring it on board from ashore and room service will even supply you with a buket of ice and plate of lemon slices every evening. Can't say fairer than that!

This has been discussed on another thread and completely different policy to Ocean Village. Also no 15% added to bar bills.

The rules are for the guidance of wise men and the obedience of fools.

BYO would only be confiscated if you were drunk & disorderly (or had built up that reputation on board).

Under 18 or supplying to under 18s.

Bringing it on by the pallet load.

As well as ice & lemon slices being supplied by the steward (unless you think they're supplied to ease tooth ache or aid sour-faced moaners respectively) P&O have a corkage charge for BYO wine opened in the restaurants and public areas.
