Aquarium

Am I right? To get to the aquarium I would take the ferry to St George, then take the bus? I do have a problem walking and we did walk to the bus station on our last visit and it was all uphill and a problem for me. Does anyone know how much a taxi would cost? Will we be saving alot of money doing it this way or should we stick with the ships excursion. The ships excursion also includes the cave which my DH & GS would so.

When we went to the Aquarium last year, I emailed the manager and he said to take the ferry to Hamilton, then a cab ride to the Aquarium (BAMZ: Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo). That's what we did. And, it was perfect. I don't remember what the cab fare was. But, I remember thinking that it wasn't very expensive. You'll love BAMZ. We've been there twice. And, we're going again in June.

Ferries go to/from all 3 port areas: Kings Warf (Dockyard), Hamilton, and St. Georges. But, you won't be able to go straight from St. George's to Hamilton and back. It stops at the Dockyard first. Here is a web site that details the entire ferry schedule:

From Hamilton, BAMZ is about a 10 minute cab ride. Although I've heard others suggest taking a cab from St. George's. So, I'm guessing it's right smack in the middle between them. BUT, the ferry ride from Dockyard to Hamilton is much shorter than the ferry ride from Dockyard to St. George's.

Also, here's a link to the bus schedule:
