gottago2mexico Posted April 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2008 Just a quick note. As of yesterday, it is now Daylight Savings Time in Cozumel. That means the island is back to being on Central Daylight Time like normal, one hour behind Florida time. It's been 2 hours behind for the past month or so. Most ships do not stay on ship time for Western Caribbean cruises, instead switching to Central Time, but make sure to double-check with your ship just in case. softball18 Posted April 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2008 I am booking a trip through the company and not the cruise ship. When the itinerary says it gets in at 1:00 pm - is that really 1:00 pm island time or 12:00 pm island time? Thanks for the help.
FishermanJim Posted April 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2008 That will depend on your departure port. Do you leave from Florida or Texas? They are in different time zones. And, as Johann points out, different lines adhere to different practices. You are best served asking the lines on which you are booked. Just remember, Cozumel now shares the same time as Dallas, Texas.
