Rythm of the Night Tour

Has anyone gone on this tour? We are going to PV for a week and wondered if we should try it. Usually its offered on shore excursions but afraid we might night get back to the ship in time, if any problems. Now we are going to stay for a week it might be worth it. Hows the food, music , show and travel over to the island?

Thanks

Brenda and Bob

Bob is doing better, the Chemo is working so far.

I agree, it is a really nice tour to do. As you said that you will stay one week, I can recommend you to go on a day without ships in the harbour, as those days can be really crowded. Saturday`s is always a good day, the most quiet day, so you have more change to get the best possible table! (on the beach for example)

We were there for only three days last year and enjoyed it all.

But we did not do the "Rythm" tour (sounds intriquing, more details?). Instead we spent one day exploring and then took two great tours of the surrounding areas with a nice tour company.

EXCELLENT SHOW! Don't worry about booking the night show, but be sure to book the trip through the cruise line, they will wait for your return. We did the show last year on the Dawn Princess, and they had the ship's tour people on the dock to escort us back to the ship at the end. It is very exotic and romantic. One of the best cruise tours we've encountered in Mexico!

We've done it 3 or 4 times over the years, and have enjoyed it each time (as has each and every person who has accompanied us at various times). Each time we've gone, improvements have been made (which has taken away some of the romanticism, but there's give and take in everything).

Yes, you should have time to do BOTH....

We did a city and tequila tour (private) which started as soon as we got off the ship and lasted most of the day. Got back around 3 pm and then went on Rhythms of the Night. (which we booked through the ship)....It made for a WONDERFUL DAY :)

  • 2 weeks later...

We are staying to PV for one week and we're staying at the Sheraton

Buganvilias on hotel row. You cant miss it when your in PV. Its just South of the port, or airport. Its the hotel with all the Buganvilias draped over the balconies. You can see it on the way to the Malecon and its right on the beach. Cant wait. No stressed out work, no phones, no housework, no cooking and no laundry. Oh yes and we will go to Le Kliff restaurant, Ay Carambas, and what ever else we find.

See ya

We own a unit at the Buganvilias and really enjoyed going to Rhythms of the Night. We will definitely do it again! :D

So does anyone else want to weigh in here? We're really trying to decide whether or not to do this excursion, we've read some good things here and some horrible things on tripadvisor. Is it worth the money? $200 is kind of a lot to us, but if it's worth it then it's worth it. I've read the food is horrible and the show isn't good???

In my opinion, you should absolutely do this tour. You should not have any problem doing a tour during the day and then this one in the evening.

We did this tour about a year ago and would definitely do it again. We consider this one of the highlights of the cruise. The food is okay and the show is a bit better than okay and the venue is outstanding. And, the boat ride there and back is a riot. The crew of the boat are so funny and entertaining. Somehow, when you put everything together, the mix gives you a truly entertaining and memorable evening. Don't miss it.

You can book thru this website and save some $$. From what I've read thru this and other board forums says this is a worthwhile tour. Good food, drinks and show. Most dinner theaters w/ wine cost $60-80/pp, so it's not too far off the mark cost wise.

Don't know when you are in PV. We are staying a week at the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta June 1-8. I'll let you know what we think!
