Ideas for Juneau 6:30-10pm?

Wondering what I could do in a short time period, 6:30-10pm on a Tuesday, May 20th in Juneau?

 

Is there much close to port, (town, shops, etc.).

 

Our ship leaves at 10pm and we won't be done with our helicopter ride until 6:30.

 

Any info is much appreciated.

I have the same question. I want to go whale watching, zip lining, and see Mendenhall. Also see some of the museums in town but they all close at 5pm. I'm hoping one of the excursions has a time available after 5pm.

Shopping is available, Mt Roberts Tram is running downtown.

You could eat dinner in town instead of on the ship - search for Juneau restaurants and I'm sure you'll find lots of recommendations. That's what we plan on doing when we go up in May.

We tried to get into the Red Dog Saloon on our cruise last year. It was very very packed..... Had to end up leaving....
