HRHMadonna Posted April 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2008 We are considering both bike tours - booking through the Crown Princess. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done one or both of these tours. Any pros? Cons? Any info you can share? If you were only going to do 1, which would you recommend? Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done one or both of these tours. Any pros? Cons? Any info you can share? If you were only going to do 1, which would you recommend? Let's make it simple: if you like it more hilly: choose Tallinn. if you like it more flat: choose Helsinki. Regards, HeinBloed
Moonglow Posted April 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2008 The main attraction of Tallin is the old walled city, a real jewel and a big surprise for us. The town is hilly and in some places plain steep with some cobbles, not a good place to bike. Maybe Tallin has other attractions outside the old city but it didn't look that way to me. Helsinki would be a better choice for a bike tour and might be really enjoyable. Carol
Jane110 Posted April 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2008 I agree with the others. I would not take a bike tour of Tallin, besides the hills and cobblestreets, you'll miss everything worth seeing in that charming city. Helsinki would be a much better choice.
