Just Returned from Destiny Cruise - Questions anyone?

There is a sports bar on there, it is next to the casino. I don't know if they get TBS to watch the NBA playoffs, they don't usually get ESPN either. The tv stations they get on their satellite are out of Denver.

 

When I went on the Destiny, the people in line giving out liquor samples said to put the alcohol in your carry on when you go through security and they won't take it. I bought 3 bottles and carried them on with no problem.

We are on the Destiny June 8th. It's my first cruise and I have read some posts about the ship being especially rocky. Someone said that they weren't sure if it had stabilizers. I don't know if I'll get seasick since I've never been on a ship. Did you notice a lot of rocking? We are on the Upper deck toward the back.

All cruise ships has stabilizers,the very old ones used metal weights,but now it's all computerised,one cruise line had a mishap last year and alot of people got hurt,but that was human error.

Do you recall what the entertainment was at the bar right at the casino entrance? It's usually a single musician..I've seen keyboardists, a bluesy/classic rock hippy guy, but my favorite was a guitar soloist.

We were on the Conquest last April and I had the tv on and saw a crawl on the bottom of the screen about a heavy snow warning....lol...then I remembered it was a Denver station. Too bad were not playing the Nuggets. So there is a bar next to the casino like on the Conquest. We will check it out for a game.

We are cruising on June 15th too!! We are very excited:D. We have cruised on Carnival Miracle 2 years ago and loved it. We are going with a family group. Do you have any kids coming along? We have ages from 8 to 18. We are getting there the 14th.:)
